Support Consultant (Time Series)
(Bangkok)

Responsibilities:

Reuters Time Series Support team is seeking a talented Support Consultant to join our support team. We provide service to Reuters Data Centers, where located in different parts of the world, as well as Reuters customers, including large international financial firms around the globe. The time series services are included real-time and historical financial data which used by Reuters premium products such as Reuters 3000Xtra and Reuters Trader.

The successful applicants will concentrate on solving problems reported by Thomson Reuters customers and Data Centers. The Support Consultant needs to be able to work as a part of the Time Series support team and individually toward the problem root cause and provide solid information to the Time Series development team if a code fixing is required.

Qualification:

Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience 
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in software development or IT-related job.
  • Familiarity with Web-based Enterprise Application and Web Service on platforms such as Websphere, IIS/.Net
  • Knowledge of any of the following programming platforms: C/C++.
  • Additional programming languages such as J2EE, J2SE, C#, .Net and familiarity with XML, XSLT and protocols such as HTTP, TCP and UDP would be additional value.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows families and/or UNIX-based OS: Solaris, RedHat Linux, SUSE Linux.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server or other RDBMS.
  • Ability to analyze information logically and systematically towards problem resolution.
  • Ability to handle pressure and deal with urgency.
  • Self-motivated, pressure-tolerant, and result-oriented personality
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal in English.
  • Customer support experience is preferred.
  • Experience in support of IBM WebSphere application server, WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus, WebSphere Message Queue is an adventage is an adventage.
