Project Manager (eSpresso)
(Bangkok)
Responsibilities:
This position will report to the EMT & Espresso Service Management function responsible for business engagement, process management and project management will also have service management and technical awareness to understand context.
He/she will act as a point of contact for work requests for business-driven requirements against Espresso. Is able to interface with IBM, Finance and various disparate customer groups within Thomson Reuters to define requirements, provide resource estimates (both in Development & Operations), cost estimates and project manage in Development and Operations to delivery against business sign-off for new items of process and/or technology against SOX compliance and within ITIL parameters.
Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritise the IBM workload and resourcing to balance delivery of business in accordance with service priorities. This includes engagement with IBM Management ongoing performance assessment of their delivery.
- Define items and schedule delivery of the Service Improvement items for the Espresso platform, and will need to develop infrastructure knowledge to support this. Controls version and change requests for the roadmap on a quarterly basis. Support ongoing service improvement by conducting post-implementation reviews and feeding back into project improvement.
- Additionally defines, agrees and maintains BAU process with stakeholders for monthly Espresso business delivery cycle. Run monthly meeting with stakeholders in Product Management and Users in TR internal administration teams according to process to ensure SOX compliance for business changes.
Additionally, acts as organisational resource to support the Service Management function:
- Facilitate problem management of allocated problems, identifying their root cause.
- Pro active analysis of service issues and recommendations to proactively correct future occurrences.
- Manage and coordinate delivery of agreed SIPs
- Define and track service quality metrics.
- Will have awareness of end-to-end local change management process and effective operation within the global change process.
- Will support process alignment within the ITIL framework and ISO standards.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- At least 3 years management experience such as Dev/QA/Support team Leader/Managers or Project Manager
- Proven experience of managing large projects or confirmed experience in leading & developing teams
- Fluent in written & spoken English
- Huge autonomy and able to define his own challenges
- Experience of working in a high pressured development projects
- Ability to influence sponsors & peers and to command respect
- Experience of working on geographically distributed & multi disciplinary project streams is preferable
- Effectively manages and work with a variety of team, structures and reporting lines
- A technical background with knowledge of the Thomson Reuters project process and product architecture and technology strategy is a plus
