Senior Systems Engineer (Windows Script)/1 position
(Bangkok)

Responsibilities:

The GMS (Global Management Systems) team will support the capability of each of the above tools, but will not be responsible for building or supporting the scripts that run on them.
The proposal is to provide a small team of 3 or 4 people that have expertise in these tools and can provide 3rd level support and expertise in helping Pillar development teams to build the appropriate scripts as they're required

The team will work with each of the Common Platform Pillar development teams to provide expertise on the tools and help to improve the existing monitoring and diagnostic capabilities of the scripts and to facilitate building of new ones as new functionality is provided (e.g. CP 1.5). The alerting and events picked up by 2nd level support or problem management will be reviewed by the team to build efficiencies into the scripting and also assist with diagnostics.

Qualification:

 
  • University graduate in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
    •  
  • 3 years of experience working with data center monitoring and/or complex management systems.
    •  
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    •  
  • Windows Scripting
    •  
  • Experience with several of the following tools and technologies:

    • IBM Tivoli

    • HP Open Orchestration

    • Citratest

    • TCP/IP

    • HTTP / SOAP / SOA
    •  
  • Nice to Have technical skills

    • SQL

    • Perl Scripting

    • ITIL
    •  
  • Fluency in English is essential, as the job will involve a lot of phone conversation worldwide.
