Senior / Software Engineer (RM)
(Bangkok)

Responsibilities:

Reuters Messaging is a tool which has been used widely for communication. Reuters Messaging is a product from Reuters Collaboration Services team.
 
Job Description and responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for performing front end web development, performing and overseeing daily production application updates.
    •  
  • Develop sections of applications, individual pages and page elements to achieve clear delivery of messages.
    •  
  • Serve as a liaison between Product management, User Experience group and development teams.
    •  
  • Develop designs in photoshop based on functional requirements and wireframe prototypes using application and branding style guides
    •  
  • Troubleshoot and provide support to development teams on UI / design related issues
    •  
  • Research new technologies and provide recommendations on technologies to be used in new and existing applications.
    •  
  • Candidate should be able to create concept designs from scratch as well as from existing application style guides
    •  
  • Manage multiple projects within specific departmental deadlines

Qualification:

  • Degree in Computer science, Web design or related field.
    •  
  • Extreme competency with HTML, CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, JQuery, Photoshop and Ajax (Competency with Flash a plus)
    •  
  • Great design sensibilities and extensive experience creating interface design/Photoshop comps.
    •  
  • At least three years of relevant Web Design / Development experience
    •  
  • Familiarity with social media and web 2.0 technologies and UI trends
    •  
  • Portfolio demonstrating excellent web design and development skills
    •  
  • Strong time management, organizational and communication skills
    •  
  • Excellent communication skills
