(Bangkok) Responsibilities: Below is job description for your reference ka,
- Maintaining standard service level objectives for SQL databases.
- Identifying potential DBMS exposures / issues
- Assisting in DBMS selection, installation, configuration, and quality assurance to provide cost effective services
- Consulting on database design and creation
- Performing regular database maintenance such as:
Object changes / migration between environments
Space monitoring
Performance monitoring, tuning, reorgs and optimization
Backup and recovery
Migration of stored procedures to production and execution of application scripts
DBMS upgrades and patches
Assisting partners in understanding the implications of potential DBMS exposures based on application risk
Resolving DBMS problems, such as bugs, performance issues, errors
Performing data migrations
Generating DBMS audit logs for customers
- Assisting DBAM E&D to certify new database versions and patches
- Developing database implementation and operating best practices
- Assisting in establishing strategies direction for databases as well as operating practices
- Being a technical mentor, advisor for current SQL DBA employees, on SQL related issues/ problems / questions.
Requirements:
IT service: SQL DBA support service Contract 1 year
- Professional personal should have 5-6 years "working" experiences as MS SQL Server DBAs (version SQL2000, SQL2005 and SQL2008), preferably with MCDBA.
- Good working knowledge of Windows (Win2000, Win2003)
- Excellence in English communication both writing and speaking.
- Be pro-acitive and initiatives.
- Strong problem solving, self-learning, independent and good team player
- Be able to coordinate with DBAs in different timezone, countries, cultures, effectively.
- Be flexible to provide oncall support on weekend and at night time.
