Resins and Chemicals
Honeywell's nylon resins and caprolactam are used globally in applications ranging from nylon carpeting to engineered plastics. We are also one of the world's largest producers of ammonium sulfate fertilizers, as well as a producer of a variety of intermediate chemicals.

Responsibilities:
Provide application development and technical support for Honeywell Resins & Chemicals with existing nylon and new product introductions in Asia.
Develop market understanding and translate unmet needs into application requirements and polymer design attributes (esp Filament/Fiber & Engineered Plastics applications).
Translate existing application designs to successfully utilize Honeywell nylon products.
Lead in collecting industry trends and future customer specifications, and identify new business and product opportunities.
Identify gaps within Honeywell Resins & Chemicals product portfolio, and work with marketing to generate road map to bridge the gap.
Serve as technical liaison, and provide application support to Honeywell Resin & Chemicals Business Asia sales/marketing team, distributor reps and end-users.
Manage customer QA and new product development projects conducted internally or with external collaboration.
Work with colleagues in U.S. to identify and match projects to global center of expertise after conducting initial analysis.
Develop relationships with research institutes to utilize their application development capabilities to support Honeywell’s business needs.
Application development for nylon used in filament, fibers, and engineered plastics.
Significant travel as needed – primarily Asia (>25%).

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in mechanical or polymer engineering, materials science or related field, well versed in the polymer resin industry/application disciplines.
3 –5 years of working experience in monofilament/multifilament/plastics industry with nylon resin experience preferred.
Processing experience for monofilament/multifilament with nylon 6 preferred
Knowledge of Fishing Line/Netting Industry a plus
Excellent written and oral English communication skills.

Previous success in identifying new applications for resin products.
Technical excellence and strong statistical, analytical and computer skills.
