Factory Manager Steel & Aluminium Products (Ref. No. 7003)
(Bangkok)

Responsibilities:

An international company engaged in contract manufacturing of steel and aluminium products wishes to appoint a Factory Manager for its new production operation in Thailand. The factory will produce light weight, portable stainless steel and aluminium products for the catering industry, using the latest technology.

The Factory Manager will be very hands-on in organizing the pre-start-up activities for the factory. The appointee will:

  • play a key role in the recruitment and training of staff
  • review and approve plans for control of planned output, budget spending, material efficiency, engineering effectiveness, and human resources
  • direct and co-ordinate the activities of production; prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications
  • review production orders and schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates and prepare production plans
  • establish strong working relations with functional managers
  • ensure plant engineering and maintenance meet the high standard established by headquarters

Requirements:

  • Thai national, age over 35 years
  • Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years experience in production, plus 3 years at management level
  • Background in the metals industry preferred
  • Knowledge of SHE standard requirements and audit
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with strong organizational, communications and team management skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken English
